Cripps Nubake is a statewide plant bakery with manufacturing
sites in Hobart and Launceston. The operation currently employs
157 staff and has been servicing the Tasmanian bread market for
over 120 years. Our quality biscuit products are produced in Launceston.
The Company has a strong commitment to Food Safety and Quality.
The Quality Management System that has been developed is based
upon Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP)
and the Woolworth’s Vendor Quality Management Standard (WVQMS).
Both manufacturing sites have current certification against
these standards.
The commitment to Food Safety and Quality is evidenced in:
- Implementation of the Certificate of Food
Processing – Plant Baking, which provides both structured
training and a path for career development for all employees.
- Training of all staff in HACCP and other
food safety and quality principles.
- Encouragement of all employees to monitor
activities in their areas of operation and to query issues affecting
quality and food safety should they arise.
- Risk management of all products through
internal audits and Corrective Action Reports.
- Management of suppliers to the Company
through our Approved Supplier Program.
Cripps Nubake recognises that our Customers have a right to consistent
products that are suitable for their intended use, and which conform
as a minimum, to the relevant specifications and legislation in
place.
Our Quality Manual describes the Quality Management System in
detail and is supported by Standard Operating Procedures, which
have been developed for all production and delivery processes.
